I received
my script yesterday and I just wanted to pass along a quick thanks for
your in-depth analysis and suggestions. I was especially impressed with
the story notes (marked right on my spec). Those will prove to be invaluable
as I rewrite, Conduct Unbecoming.
It's funny. After this script was optioned, I found myself feeling a
little arrogant. I thought, "Wow, that script is near-perfect."
Now, after reading your notes, I realize how foolish my arrogance was.
Thanks again for your honest and insightful coverage. And best of luck
in your future endeavors. I hope you don't mind if I email you every
once and a while with a quick question or two. And remember, I'm just
an email away. Please don't be strangers. Take care.

I did
receive your evaluation of my script, and quite timely, I might add.
Thank you both. Your criticisms are well taken and you've sparked a
renewed interest in me regarding this story. I'm faced with a page-1
rewrite and may wait until this summer to tackle it again.
Not many companies
that provide the services you offer, come with strong reputations. But
I am pleased to say that your insights are thorough, kind and direct.
I'll gladly recommend you to others in the future.

I received
your evaluation last week. I have read both of your critiques and about
half the marked-up script. Your evaluation was exactly what we needed
to see--a refreshing dose of reality. I knew our script had problems
going in. Now that the weaknesses have been pointed out, the rewrite
should be an enjoyable journey.
Thank you for you continued interest. When we have completed the rewrite,
I'll contact you. Please feel free to stay in touch.

I
received my script and your evaluations yesterday. I've read through
the package only once, but I want you to know that I am both appreciative
and impressed with your work. Your evaluations and recommendations are
well developed and provide great guidance. I'm a strong believer in
"When you're ready - it will happen," I just wish that I had
been ready for you sooner in my writing career. I'm so pleased with
your work, that I am going to send you another one of my scripts. Again,
thanks for your assistance and responsiveness.

I read
your analysis and feel that of all of the money and time I have spent
trying hone my skills as a screenwriter, nothing comes close to what
I received from you. While mine may be a slow process over the next
several months, I plan to review your comments and suggestions and study
them well. I appreciate your willingness to stay with me through the
process. Again, thank you both for you time and insight.

I got
both scripts today. First, let me thank you very much!! For the first
time I feel I got an honest critique of my work.

I have
known Bonnie Sanders and Andy Rodman for more than a decade. I know
how easily I can get too close to my own work and lose objectivity.
Over the years, Bonnie and Alan have given me an independent perspective
on my own projects. The resulting scripts were vastly improved and better
yet, they were salable.
It is easy to find "friends" who will tell you that your script is perfect
and that your every word is gold. It is harder to find people like Andy
and Bonnie who will tell you what you need to know if you want to grow
as a writer. They have seen literally thousands of scripts and know
how to identify script problems from major structural flaws down to
simple format errors. At the same time, they are open-minded and avoid
the simplistic solutions of the much-hyped script gurus.

Thank
you Bonnie and Andy for being my partner in the exciting adventure of
screenwriting. You listened to my crazy pitches, you critiqued my shaky
first drafts, you helped me perfect my final script and in the process
made me a better writer. But most importantly of all, you helped me
sell my very first screenplay. I couldn't have done it without you.

I,
Tim Sullivan was a lost teenager who daydreamed about the big bucks,
models in my bed, warm weather and no heavy lifting. I dreamt of becoming
a top comedy writer and producer in Hollywood with my own production
company. Screenbrokers has me on the path to turning reverie into reality.
Presently four of my sitcom specs are in the hands of producers at major
studios.
